Screens / Screener

Definition
Filters the universe of symbols by criteria you choose — technical, fundamental, or signal-based — to produce a shortlist worth a closer look.
How to read it
The Screener narrows a large universe of symbols down to a manageable shortlist using filters you select — things like price and volume conditions, technical setups, or the portal's own signals. It is your starting funnel: instead of staring at the whole market, you define what 'interesting' means and let the screen surface candidates. The output is a list to research further, not a list to act on blindly.
How practitioners use it
Used as context among multiple indicators — never as a standalone signal to act.
Less common professional uses
Power user: tighten filters gradually — start broad, see how many names survive, then add constraints so you understand what each filter removes. Caveat: an over-constrained screen can return a tiny, biased list that looks precise but is just noise-fit; sanity-check the count. Combine a screen output with a backtest of the same rule to see whether the setup has historically been worth acting on.
